Imphal: One more person succumbed to Covid-19, 262 persons (261 general population one CAPF) tested positive and 228 persons recovered in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Thursday in Manipur, as per an official release from the Health Department.
The lone person who succumbed to the deadly virus is from Kakching. The deceased person had co-morbidities and was not vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2054.
Of the 261 persons from the general population who tested positive, 98 are from Imphal West, 47 from Imphal East, 21 each from Thoubal and Bishnupur, 14 each from Kakching and Churachandpur, 13 from Chandel, nine from Kangpokjpi, six from Senapati, four each from Kamjong and Tamenglong, three from Tengnoupal and one from Noney. Altogether, 1,859 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 14.1 %.
Meanwhile, 228 persons recovered and were discharged, 159 from home isolation, 42 from CCCs, seven from RIMS and 20 from JNIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 95.51 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1,34,167 out of which 1,28,137 have recovered, leaving 3,976 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on Feb 2, 2022, is 10,722, the cumulative number of doses administered is 25,31,445 (1st dose 14,40,010, 2nd dose 10,57,266) and precautionary 34,169.
There is a total of 300 Covid beds in JNIMS, out of which 78 are occupied while 222 are vacant while in RIMS there are 190 Covid beds, out of which 42 are occupied and 149 are vacant.
