Odisha reports 526 new COVID-19 cases and four deaths

Health and Family Welfare department sources said while two deaths were reported from Nabarangpur district Jagatsinghpur and Bolangir reported one death each.

Bhubaneswar: The total COVID-19 cases in the state surged to 10,31,044 after 526 people including 68 in the age group of 0 to 18 tested positive during the last 24 hours, authorities said on Saturday.

Out of the 526 new cases, 303 were from quarantine centres and 223 were local contact cases.

Khordha district reported 233 new cases, followed by Cuttack 63, Balasore 33, Mayurbhanja 29 and Sundergarha 19.

Odisha currently has 5035 active cases.

The COVID-19 toll in the state went up to 8,242 after four more people succumbed to the infection in the last 24 hours.

Health and Family Welfare department sources said while two deaths were reported from Nabarangpur district Jagatsinghpur and Bolangir reported one death each.

With the recovery of 598 people in the last 24 hours, the total number of recoveries rose to 10,17,714.
