Bhubaneswar: Odisha reported 160 new COVID-19 cases in the past 24 hours taking the total number of cumulative cases in the state to 10,51,574.
Health and Family Welfare department sources said that out of the 160 new infections, 94 were from the quarantine centres and 66 were local contact cases.
At least 20 positive cases were found in the age group of 0 to 18. Khordha district alone recorded 86 new cases, followed by Sundergarh 10.
While 18 districts registered cases in single digits during the same period no new COVID cases were reported from the remaining ten districts.
Official sources said the state reported only one death from Bhadrak during the last 24 hours taking the total fatalities in the state to 8,434 so far.
The active cases further declined to 1955 on Saturday from 2001 on Friday.
The total recoveries in the state surged to 10,41,132 after 205 COVID patients recovered on Saturday.
