Bhubaneswar:The covid positive cases in Odisha have been witnessing a rising trend in the past few days with the state registering 542 fresh cases in the past 24 hours taking total active cases in the state to 3270.
Health Department sources said the new cases were reported from the total sample of 7571 cases collected in the state in the past 24 hours.
Meanwhile, with the surge in the covid cases, the state government has announced the mandatory use of masks for all health workers in Hospitals and also the staff members of clinical laboratories and other diagnostic centres.
The state government also advised people to use masks when congregating in a closed room and those suffering from cold and flu.
