Imphal: Nagamapal Youth Development Club (NYDC) today felicitated Jitesh Nongmaithem of Nagamapal Phougeisangbam Leikai in recognition of his remarkable achievement of winning the gold medal in the U-14 Boys Table Tennis event at the Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Tinsukia Region, 55th Regional Sports Meet 2026.
The regional sports meet was held at Duliajan, Assam, from April 25 to April 27, 2026. Jitesh’s achievement has brought pride and honour to the locality and inspired many young sportspersons.
The felicitation programme was attended by NYDC president Yengkhom Jotin, General secretary Khumallambam Nepolean, and advisor Nongmaithem Kunjaraj. On the occasion, the club presented a token gift to Jitesh as a mark of appreciation for his dedication and success.
Speaking during the function, NYDC General secretary Khumallambam Nepolean said that the club would extend all possible support to Jitesh in his future endeavours and wished him continued success and a bright future.
NYDC reaffirmed its commitment to encouraging young talents and promoting sports activities among the youth.
