No nomination for Rajya Sabha poll on 2nd day in Nagaland

The election is scheduled to take place at the Conference Hall, Annex Room of the Assembly Secretariat on March 31 next, she said.

Kohima: For the March 31 biennial election of the Rajya Sabha seat of Nagaland, no candidate has filed nomination papers on the second day of nomination filing on Tuesday.

Nagaland Returning Officer of biennial election to the council of states, K. Rio has informed that the process of filing nominations opened following the issuance of the official notification by the Election Commission (EC) on Monday and no nominations have been filed for the lone Rajya Sabha seat from Nagaland till 3 PM on Tuesday.

The last date of nominations is March 21, scrutiny will be taken on March 22 and the last date for withdrawal of candidatures on March 24 before 3 PM.
