Imphal: Manipur saw a much improved Covid scenario on Thursday with zero death and a much lower positivity rate of 2.5 %. In the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, the state registered 69 positive cases and 84 recoveries, as per an official release from the health department.
Of the 69 persons who tested positive from the general population, 30 of them are from Imphal West, 11 from Thoubal, 10 from Imphal East, five from Ukhrul, four from Churachandpur, two from Bishnupur and one from Chandel.
Altogether, 1,780 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 2.5 %
Meanwhile, of the 84 persons who recovered and were discharged,14 are from home isolation, 42 from CCCs, 12 from RIMS and 16 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.28 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 22,432 out of which 1,19,099 have recovered leaving 1,444 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on October 13, 2021, is 5,374 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 18, 00,472 (1st dose 12,33,722, 2nd dose 5,66,750).
The total numbers of beds available in various hospitals for Covid-19 patients on October 14 is 551 out of which 448 are general beds while 103 are ICU beds.
