Nagaland records 15 new COVID positive cases

On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State, altogether a total of 23 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered Wednesday, taking the total number of recovery to 29,580, with a recovery rate of 93.28 per cent.

Kohima: The number of COVID cases in Nagaland has decreased to 15 new cases Wednesday, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 31,507 so far and with no more deaths, the death toll remained at 673.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin Thursday, among the 15 fresh COVID cases Wednesday, the new cases were detected from two districts of Nagaland with, nine cases in Dimapur and six cases in Kohima, taking the total caseload to 31507.

On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State, altogether a total of 23 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered Wednesday, taking the total number of recovery to 29,580, with a recovery rate of 93.28 per cent.

According to the bulletin, a total of 238 active cases in the state, out of which 165 active cases are asymptomatic, 55 are said to be mild, two are moderate on oxygen, 12 have severe symptoms and are receiving oxygen support, two are admitted in the ICU without ventilators and two patients are on ventilators. With no more patients dying from the pandemic, the total deaths remained at 673, it said.
