No Covid related deaths for the third consecutive day in Manipur

Imphal: For three days in a row, Manipur saw no deaths due to Covid-19 pandemic, sure signs of the improving situation in the state. Also, in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday, 13 persons (10 males, 3 females)) from the general population tested positive, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 13 persons who tested positive from the general population include 9 from Kakching, 2 from imphal East and 1 each from Bishnupur and Imphal West.

Meanwhile, 4 persons recovered Home Isolation.

 The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,196 (General Population — 25,765 and Central Security Personnel — 3,431). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,748 (General Population — 25, 333 and Central Security Personnel — 3,415). The number of active cases is 75 (general population 63 and CAPF 12). The recovery rate is 98.46%.

The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 19189 This includes the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs 78 persons were given Covid-19 vaccine on Sunday and that the cumulative no of people vac, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.

There is no severe reaction/allergies, adverse event following immunization (AEFI) till date. There were 41 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them are now fully recovered, the release added.
