No Covid related death Tuesday in Manipur

Imphal: Manipur did not report any Covid related death in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Tuesday. During the same period, the state logged 18 new positive cases (17 general population one CAPF) while 25 persons recovered and were discharged, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 17 persons from the general population who tested positive, five are from Imphal East, two each from Bishnupur, Thoubal and Churachandpur and one each from Imphal East, Kakching, Tamenglong, Tengnoupal, Senapati and Noney. 

A total of 1,326 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.2%. 

Meanwhile, 25 persons recovered and were discharged, 17 of them from home isolation, four from CCCs and two each from RIMS and JNIMS. 

For various reasons 108 persons were declared as recovered only on Monday, therefor the total persons recovered is 134 after reconciliation as on March 7. 

The recovery rate of the state stands at 98.37 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 36, 921 out of which 1, 34, 6694 have recovered leaving 112 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on March 7, is 227, the cumulative number of doses administered is 27,33,897 (1st dose 15,17, 897, 2nd dose 11,54, 305) and precautionary dose 61,485.
