Imphal: As with the past few days, Manipur saw no Covid-19 related death. In the last 24 hours, however, leading up to 5 pm of Thursday 4 persons (2 males and 2 females) from the general population tested positive and 3 persons recovered, per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 4 persons who tested positive from the general population include 1 each from Imphal East, Kakching Tamenglong and Churachandpur. All precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the release continued.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 29,309(General Population — 25,875 and Central Security Personnel — 3,434). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 28,900(General Population — 25,471 and CAPF— 3,429). The number of active cases is 36(general population 35 and CAPF 1). Recovery rate is 98.60%.
As per the latest information, the number of people vaccinated on March 10, is 1123 and the cumulative vaccination number is 73510, the release added.
The total number of health care workers who have been vaccinated is 30581 which include the Directors of RIMS and JNIMS, CMOs, DFWOs DIOs of districts, chairman cum managing directors of Shija Hospital and Babina Diagnostics’.
There are no severe reactions/allergies, adverse event following immunization till date. There were 47 mild reactions who were on home care and all of them have now fully recovered.
