Nitish announces compensation for kin of Bihar labourers killed in Nagaland road mishap

The Chief Minister directed the Resident Commissioner of Bihar in New Delhi to make arrangements for bringing back the bodies of labourers from Nagaland to Bihar.

Patna: Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar on Sunday announced a compensation of Rs 2 lakhs each for kin of Bihari labourers killed in a road accident in Nagaland.

Kumar said he was deeply hurt to learn about the deaths of four Bihari labourers in a road accident at Dimapur in Nagaland. Kin of those killed in road mishap would be paid compensation of Rs two lakhs each, he added.

The Chief Minister directed the Resident Commissioner of Bihar in New Delhi to make arrangements for bringing back the bodies of labourers from Nagaland to Bihar.

As it is, four labourers, natives of Kodha block in Katihar district, were killed in a road accident at Dimapur in Nagaland on Saturday. Compensation would be paid from the CM relief fund to the kins of the deceased.
