Hyderabad: The era of casteism, dynastism, and appeasement in politics has come to an end, and the next 30-40 years will be the “era of BJP”, where developmental politics will dominate, the BJP has said in its political resolution at a meeting of the National Executive of the party.

Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma briefed on the resolution passed by the party’s National Executive, the top policy-making body of the BJP, which was moved by Union Home Minister Amit Shah and seconded by Sarma and Karnataka CM Basavaraj Bommai.

“Recent electoral victory has clearly demonstrated ‘jaativaad’ (casteism), ‘parivaarvaad’ (dynastic politics), and politics of appeasement has come to an end. The era of politics of development has started,” Sarma said referring to the resolution which was unanimously adopted.

He said the BJP will bring an end to these forms of politics wherever it prevails, and soon come to power in states like Telangana, West Bengal, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, and Odisha. The resolution also noted that the Opposition is divided, and involved in corruption.

“Some Congress leaders are fighting for democracy within Congress, but the Gandhi family is not allowing polls for electing the president of the party to be held,” Sarma said.

“Congress has Modi phobia… the Opposition is disgruntled,” he said.
The Assam CM said the resolution mentioned Article 370, surgical strikes, CAA, ban on Triple Talaq, and the Covid vaccination drives among the major achievements of the government.

The resolution also lauded the choice of Draupadi Murmu, a tribal leader, as the Presidential candidate of the BJP.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also asked party workers to take the message of her life to the people.

Asked about the recent incidents of murders in Udaipur and Amaravati, and the prevailing communal tension, Sarma said, “That is why we are talking about ending politics of appeasement, dynasticism, and casteism”.

He denied commenting on the recent observation of the Supreme Court on suspended party leader Nupur Sharma and said it was not relevant to the political resolution.

“Similar questions were asked after the Gujarat riot… Communal politics is an offshoot of politics of appeasement, if that is ended, communalism will also end,” Sarma said.

The resolution also lauded the role played by PM Modi on the international stage and said the world now looks up to India.

“Under BJP, India will become ‘Vishwaguru’,” he said.
A separate statement is also being issued on Telangana, where the National Executive meeting is being held.
