Imphal: Members and well-wishers of Nature Club, Haoreibi on Tuesday received Manikanta Mutum, who has been on a solo walk since 10th September 2021, at Ibudhou Pakhangba Haraobung, Haoreibi, Imphal West.
They also extended solidarity to him and the causes he is on the walk.
The solo walker along with members of the Nature Club planted saplings in and around Ibudhou Pakhangba haraobung and also inside the “Meiraba Ningshingkol”, a memorial park developing in memory of (L) Nongthombam Meiraba, a young founder member of the club.
Narrating his experiences of the solo walk, Manikanta Mutum expressed that he was so glad to see the overwhelming welcome extended to him and the solidarity he received there was incomparable.
He also said that he received full support and co-operation from various clubs, organizations and well-wishers from different places till date.
It may be mentioned that Manikatna Mutum, who hails from Karam Awang Leikai, is on a solo walk to cover Manipur and Assam spreading the message NO TO DRUGS; OUR GREEN WORLD; Lets Fight COVID 19 Together.
