National SC-ST Hub Conclave held in Manipur’s CCpur dist

The conclave was organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India along the lines of the Public Procurement Policy, 2012.

Churachandpur: To promote entrepreneurship and make development reach all sections of society, especially the marginalized groups, including SC/ST entrepreneurs, the National SC-ST Hub Conclave was held Friday at EBC Gospel Centenary Hall, New Lamka, Churachandpur. 

The conclave was organized by the Ministry of Micro, Small & Medium Enterprises (MSME), Government of India along the lines of the Public Procurement Policy, 2012.

Speaking as the chief guest at the conclave, Union Minister of State for MSME,  Bhanu Pratap Singh Verma, highlighted the NSSH schemes and other schemes of the ministry.  He stated that the National SC/ST Hub (NSSH) would provide professional support to the SC/ST enterprises and work towards the development of new entrepreneurs to participate in the public procurement process leveraging on the ‘Stand up India’ program. The minister also assured that support and mentoring services will be provided to selected entrepreneurs by industry experts, CPSEs, and incubators.

Highlighting the achievements of state government through this program, the Minister of textiles, commerce and industry department and co-operation, the government of Manipur, Nemcha Kipgen, expressed her anticipations that this conclave will improve the lives of many people belonging to SC/ST communities and will play an integral role in the development of the state and the country’s economy.

Awards were given to the top three entrepreneurs and stores were set up to showcase the numerous products of different entrepreneurs in the state.

It may be mentioned that the National SC/ST Hub is an initiative of the Government of India targeted towards developing a supportive ecosystem for SC/ST entrepreneurs.

Deputy Commissioner,  Sharath Chandra Arroju; SP, Shivanand Surve; and officials from different government departments attended the conclave apart from entrepreneurs and other beneficiaries.
