Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday, seven persons tested positive and 10 persons recovered in Manipur. During the same period, there was no report of any Covid-related death in the State, as per an official release from the Health Department.
Of the seven persons who tested positive, two each are from Imphal West, Imphal East and Churachandpur and one from Bishnupur. Altogether, 422 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 1.7 %.
Meanwhile, 10 persons recovered, four each from home isolation and discharge and two from JNIMS.. The recovery rate of the state as of Friday stands at 98.42 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 724 of which 1, 37,513 have recovered leaving 64 active cases in the state.
As on September 1, 2022, 122 D-type oxygen cylinders and four B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.
The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on September 2, 2022, is as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which five are occupied and 33 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which four are occupied and 58 are vacant.
The total number of doses administered on September 1, is 2,851, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,86,009(1st dose 16,32,633, 2nd dose 13,06,831) and precautionary dose is 2,46,545.
