Nagaland records 69 new COVID cases

According to the bulletin, no COVID-related death was reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll in the State remained at 484.

Kohima: Nagaland reported 69 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 25,451, state Health Department said on Sunday.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin issued on Sunday, Out of 69 cases, 19 cases reported in Kohima, 14 case in Dimapur, 12 cases in Mokokchung, six in Zunheboto, five in Mon, five in Phek, five in Wokha, two in Tuensang and one in Kiphire, taking the collective tally to 25, 451. The new cases were detected from 941 samples that were tested in the last 24 hours, registering a daily positivity rate of 7.33 per cent.

On the other hand, 94 patients recovered from the infection in the past 24 hours, taking the tally of recoveries to 22,991. There are 1,253 active cases in the state till Saturday.

According to the bulletin, no COVID-related death was reported in the last 24 hours and the death toll in the State remained at 484.
