Nagaland records 57 new COVID positive cases

One more patient of virus succumbed to the infection in Dimapur on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 608.

Kohima: The new cases of COVID-19 in Nagaland yesterday increased to 57 new cases, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases rose to 29, 331 and with one more death, the toll rose to 608.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 57 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from nine districts of Nagaland with 22 cases in Dimapur, 17 cases in Kohima, seven in Mokokchung, three in Longleng, three in Wokha, two in Phek, one in Kiphire, one in Peren and one in Tuensang, taking the total caseload to 29331.

On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, the recovery patients saw a total of 88 new recoveries, of them 41 from Dimapur, 19 from Kohima, eight from Mokokchung, eight from Tuensang, six from Peren, five from Wokha and one from Kiphire, the tally of recovery in the State increased to 26,826. The state has a total of 1,056 active cases of COVID-19 in the State as of yesterday, out of which, 66 are admitted in COVID hospitals and 990 are under home isolation.

One more patient of virus succumbed to the infection in Dimapur on Wednesday, taking the death toll to 608.
