Nagaland records 47 new COVID positive cases

Kohima: In the latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number increased to 47 new cases, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 30,435 so far and with one more death, the death toll rose at 632.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 47 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from five districts of Nagaland with 23 cases in Dimapur, 16 cases in Kohima, four in Phek, three in Wokha and one in Longleng, taking the total caseload to 30435.

On the recovery of COVID-19 patients in the State, a total of 50 new recoveries were reported throughout the state, out of the 18 patients from Dimapur, 14 from Kohima, eight from Mokokchung, six in Phek, two from Zunheboto, one in Kiphire and one from Wokha, taking the total recovery caseload to 28,178. The recovery rate is 92.58%, the bulletin said.

Nagaland yesterday had 709 active patients, out of which 523 active cases are asymptomatic, 127 are mild symptomatic, 20 are moderate on oxygen, 19 are severe on oxygen, 10 are in ICU without the ventilator and 10 patients are admitted in ICUs on ventilators, the bulletin said. There was a report of one more COVID-19 related death in the state in Dimapur, the total number of death figures in Nagaland rose to at 632, the bulletin informed.
