Senapati: The District Administration of Senapati successfully conducted the second day of its Information, Education, and Communication (IEC) Campaign under the Jan Bhagidaari—Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle initiative under DA-JGUA for the Paomata T.D. Block at the DRDA Hall, Paomata Centre. The Campaign was held under the supervision of Sheveine, MCS, Block Development Officer/ Sub- Divisional Officer, Paomata.
Addressing at the event, Sheveine, MCS welcomed the attendees and highlighted the core significance of the campaign. She underscored the primary aim of the campaign is to spread awareness and empowered the tribal community through active participation in government welfare programmes. She briefed the participants on the essential services provided by various line departments including Agriculture, Health, District Child Protection Unit, Social Welfare, Forest, Banking Institutions, Horticulture and CAF & PD. She elaborated on crucial government welfare programme such as PM Kisan, Ration Card, eKYC, Health Card, Screening of NCD, certificates and other sponsorship programmes for tribal villages.
Adahrii Maheo, MCS, Chief Executive Officer, Autonomous District Council Senapati expressed his gratitude for being part of this mass participatory campaign. He urged the attendees to carefully note the details of the schemes and further sensitized to the fellow villagers. He also instructed the line departments to actively assists and guide the beneficiaries, ensuring the campaign’s ultimate success.
Representatives and experts from line departments also sensitized the attendees on a wide array of welfare schemes such as PM-KISAN, Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana (PMMVY), Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana (PMSBY), Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana (PMJJBY), issue of Health Card and other department-specific programs throughout the day.
The campaign featured interactive community activities, including a plantation drive led by BDO Paomata and a village transect walk joined by residents of host village and neighbouring villages.
Around 455 participants from 16 villages across the Paomata T.D. Block attended the IEC Campaign. Additionally, 11 stalls were set up by various line departments to provide on-the-spot services and information, where 258 persons were guided and given awareness on various schemes such as Ration Card, PM KISHAN, Mission Vatsalya, PMSBY, PMJJBY, PMMVY, Old Age, disabled schemes etc. and screening of NCDs along with distribution of 200 tree seedling during the day’s campaign.
