Pherzawl: In a continued effort to bring government services closer to people living in remote areas, the District Administration, Pherzawl today carried forward the nationwide IEC campaign “Jan Bhagidari Abhiyan – Sabse Door, Sabse Pehle” at Tinsuong village.
The outreach programme today was conducted under the overall leadership of Deputy Commissioner, Pherzawl, Mannuamching and supervised by Zosanglur Joute, ADC Pherzawl and Lunlenmoi Vaiphei, SDC Parbung.
Villagers, including school children and elders, participated enthusiastically in the campaign activities organised by different departments. As part of the programme, the Divisional Forest Office, Pherzawl led a tree plantation drive to encourage environmental awareness and community participation.
An Aadhaar enrolment and updation drive was also conducted for school children to help ensure easier access to government welfare and educational services.
The Health Department team led by Dr. Thanglienzuol, Medical Officer In-Charge, CHC Parbung, organised a health screening camp for the villagers. Enrolment drives for Chief Ministergi Hakshelgi Tengbang (CMHT) and Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (PM-JAY) health cards were also carried out during the programme.
The campaign seeks to strengthen grassroots outreach by ensuring that essential government services and welfare schemes reach even the farthest villages of the district.
