Kohima: In the latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, as many as 43 new cases and one death have been registered on Monday, taking the total tally to 30,907 and the death toll to 653.
According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, the 43 COVID cases recorded yesterday were detected from seven districts of Nagaland with 14 cases in Tuensang, 13 cases in Dimapur, eight in Mokokchung, three in Kohima, two in Kiphire, two in Longleng and one in Wokha.
Meanwhile, 55 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus, recovered on Saturday, with 36 from Dimapur, nine from Kohima, eight from Wokha and two from Zunheboto, taking the number to 28,835, with a recovery rate of 93.29 per cent.
The state currently has 467 active cases, out of which 348 are asymptomatic, 81 are mild symptomatic, six are moderate symptomatic on oxygen, 15 have severe symptoms, seven are on oxygen support, five are in the ICU without ventilator support and 10 are in the ICU on a ventilator. With one more patient dying from the pandemic in Dimapur, the death toll stood at 654, the bulletin said.
