Nagaland records 40 COVID-19 cases

The active cases in the state are now 1,192 of which 1,042 are in home isolation and 80 in hospitals.

Kohima: Nagaland recorded 40 new cases of COVID-19 and zero deaths from the virus in the past 24 hours, a health bulletin said here on Tuesday.
The active cases in the state are now 1,192 of which 1,042 are in home isolation and 80 in hospitals.
Among the fresh cases, 15 cases were recorded in Dimapur, 14 in Mokokchung, three in Kohima, three in Peren, two in Mon, two in Wokha and one in Phek.
The fresh cases came from a total of 1,012 tests conducted during the past day. The positivity rate is now 3.95 per cent. This is for the first time the state has recorded a positivity rate lower than 5 per cent after the second wave of the pandemic hit that state in April this year.
The total number of cases have reached 25,559 while the death toll is 499.
