Kohima: The increase of COVID-19 continued in Nagaland on Friday it has recorded 309 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which increased the total number of COVID- 19 cases in the state to 19,593.
Nagaland Health Minister Pangnyu Phom said Friday that among the 309 fresh cases, the highest 122 in Dimapur, followed by 113 in Kohima, 22 in Phek, 15 in Mokokchung, 12 in Wokha, 11 in Zunheboto, nine in Tuensang, four in Mon and one in Peren.
In recoveries, a total of 225 more patients recovered in Nagaland, which comprises of 78 in Kohima, 75 in Dimapur, 43 in Mon, 13 in Zunheboto, eight in Wokha, four in Tuensang, three in Phek and one in Kiphire, Phom said.
With these, the total number of cases has now reached 19, 593, of which the active cases are 4588 and a total 14, 149 people have recovered, while with 13 more COVID related death, the toll rose to 247.
