Nagaland records 252 new COVID positive cases

Kohima: The increase of COVID-19 continued in Nagaland Saturday it has recorded 252 new cases of COVID-19 in the past 24 hours, which increased the total number of COVID- 19 cases in the state to 19,845.

Nagaland Health Minister Pangnyu Phom said that among the 252 fresh cases, the highest 137 in Dimapur, followed by 50 in Kohima, 22 in Phek, 17 in Mokokchung, 15 in Zunheboto, 11 in Phek, eight in Tuensang, six in Wokha, three in Mon, three in Kiphire, one in Peren and one in Longleng.

In recoveries, a total of 214 more patients recovered in Nagaland today, which comprises 135 in Dimapur, 27 in Tuensang, 19 in Kohima, 14 in Mon, seven in Phek, five in Wokha, three in Longleng, two in Zunheboto, one in Kiphire and one in Peren, Phom said.

With these, the total number of cases has now reached 19,845, of which the active cases are 4,840 and a total of 14,363 people have recovered.
