Nagaland records 24 new Covid-19 cases

With no more patients died from the pandemic, the total death in the COVID-19 related cases remained at 674, it said.

Kohima: The latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number has decreased to 24 new cases yesterday, which increased the total number of corona virus-infected cases to 31,571 so far and with no more death reports, the death toll remained at 674.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 24 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from four districts of Nagaland with, 11 cases in Dimapur, nine cases in Kohima, two in Longleng and two in Mokokchung, taking the total caseload to 31571 with a positivity rate of 4.54 per cent.

On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State, altogether a total of 14 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered yesterday, taking the total number of recovery to 29,630, with a recovery rate of 94.16 per cent.

The state has 236 active COVID-19 cases, out of which 157 active cases are asymptomatic, 57 are said to be mild, four are moderate on oxygen, 11 have severe symptoms and one is receiving oxygen support, 11 are admitted in the ICU without ventilators and six patients are on ventilators. With no more patients died from the pandemic, the total death in the COVID-19 related cases remained at 674, it said.
