Nagaland records 21 new Covid +ve cases

A total of 347 active cases were recorded, out of them 263 active cases are asymptomatic, 65 are said to be mild, eight are moderate on oxygen, six have severe symptoms

Kohima: The latest COVID-19 situation in Nagaland, the number has decreased to 21 new cases yesterday, which increased the total number of corona virus infected cases to 31,265 so far and with one more death, the death toll gone up to 666.

According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 21 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from six districts of Nagaland with nine cases in Dimapur, four cases in Kohima, three in Mokokchung, two in Phek, two in Wokha and one in Longleng, taking the total caseload to 31265.

On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State, altogether total of 27 patients who had previously tested positive for the virus recovered yesterday, out of them 16 patients from Dimapur, six from Mokokchung and five patients from Kohima, with these the total number of recovery from COVID is 29,254, with a recovery rate of 93.10 per cent.

According to the bulletin, a total of 347 active cases were recorded, out of them 263 active cases are asymptomatic, 65 are said to be mild, eight are moderate on oxygen, six have severe symptoms and are receiving oxygen support, two are admitted in the ICU without ventilators and three patients are on ventilators. With one more patient died from the pandemic in Mokokchung, the death toll remained at 666 it said.
