Kohima: Nagaland recorded 16 new cases yesterday, taking the tally to 31,627 so far and with one more death report, the toll rose to 675.
According to a Nagaland Health Department bulletin today, among the 16 fresh COVID cases yesterday, the new cases were detected from four districts of Nagaland with 10 cases reported in Dimapur, four cases in Mokokchung, one in Kohima and one on Mon.
All the new 16 cases were detected after tested 602 samples, 10 of the new cases were detected from self-tests and random tests, five from traced contacts and one from returnees from outside the state, with a daily positivity rate of 2.66 per cent.
On the recovery of COVID-19 infected patients in the State, a total of nine patients recovered, with six from Dimapur and three from Kohima on Monday taking the recovery tally to 29,676.
The state has 252 active COVID-19 cases and one more patient succumbed to his infection on Mon, the total COVID-19 related death cases rose to 675, it said.
