Kohima: Nagaland Police arrested two persons, including a lady, on September 7 and recovered suspected heroin weighing approximately 840 grams near Viswema Y-Junction of the NH 2 on the Kohima-Pfutsero-Imphal Highway.

Kohima Police Headquarters issued a press release stating that the vehicle in which the accused were traveling was coming from Senapati district headquarters in Manipur and headed towards Dimapur.

The contrabands, suspected heroin weighing approximately 840 grams, were found concealed inside 70 soap cases during a surprise Mobile Vehicle Check Post.

Accordingly, two occupants of the vehicle, a male (39 years) from Katafiimai of Tadubi and a female aged 34 years from Pahibung Khullen under Tadubi in Manipur were arrested and the illegal contraband along with the vehicle was seized.
