Kohima: The Personnel of Narcotic Cell Police Station, CID, manning Narcotic Check Point Khuzama, near Kohima have checked a car and recovered suspected heroin weighing approximately 220 grams, also arrested three persons.

According to a release issued by the Superintendent of Police (Crime) & PRO, Police Headquarters of Nagaland informed that the police personnel intercepted a car on Wednesday bearing Manipur registration number for a routine checking and search of the vehicle and the occupants resulted in recovery of 20 soap cases of suspected heroin weighing approximately 220 grams, which were seized.

All the three occupants of the car, all from Senapati district of Manipur, were arrested and a case vide Narcotic Cell Police Station under NDPS Act has been registered for further investigation, the release said.
