Nagaland police recover 200 kg of ganja

Kohima: The personnel of Narcotic Cell Police Station, Nagaland has arrested three persons and recovered 200 kg of Ganja from a car on Thursday night

According to official sources on Friday the Police personnel were performing routine frisking and checking of suspected vehicles on National Highway-2 and intercepted a Dimapur-bound vehicle bearing registration of Haryana (a Renault Duster) near Viswema Y-Junction near Kohima on Kohima-Pfutsero-Imphal road, which was coming from Imphal of Manipur on Thursday, at  around 9:00 PM. 

After a thorough search of the vehicle resulted in recovery of 200 kg of suspected ganja which were found wrapped in black polythene. Accordingly, three occupants of the vehicle all residents of Ukhrul district of Manipur State were arrested and the illegal contraband along with the vehicle duly seized. 

A case, vide Narcotic Cell Police Station Case under the NDPS Act, has been registered for further investigation, sources informed.
