Kohima: The Parliamentary Committee on Naga Political Issue has appealed to the negotiating parties to bring about a final solution to the vexed matter soon through a mutually acceptable definition of competencies as reflected in an agreement signed almost seven years back, according to a panel official.

Nagaland Parliamentary Affairs Minister and Parliamentary Committee on Naga political Issue Member Secretary Neiba Kronu said the panel has in this regard urged the negotiating parties to refer to the competencies as reflected in the Framework Agreement of August 3, 2015, signed between the Government of India and the NSCN (IM), to arrive at a final solution that is honorable, acceptable and inclusive. The parliamentary committee took the resolutions after a meeting in Kohima on Saturday.
