Aizawl: At the DoNER Consultative Committee held Thursday held via video conferencing under the chairmanship of DoNER Minister, Jitendra Singh, Lok Sabah MP, C Lalrosanga had strongly advocated the need for awarding ‘Special package’ to a state like Mizoram for developmental works within the backward areas in the state.
While elaborating the viability for the construction of more airports in the state, more flight services at the existing airport he also highlighted the need for improvement of postal services, which is far from sufficient in the current state.
The lone MP from Mizoram was also leading the demand for strengthening of the NEC and better utilization of the 10% Gross Budgetary Support guaranteed to all the NE states.
