Mizoram Civil Supplies Minister hands over Rs 10,000 each to 13 VLTFs

Kolasib: Food, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs Minister K Lalrinliana, who is also the MLA of Kolasib AC, making note of the condition of the daily labourers and families under Home Quarantine during this lockdown within Kolasib Assembly Constituency, provided aid in the form of cash to each VLTF to make sure that those who are in need do not go hungry during the lockdown.

The Minister handed over Rs.10,000 each to 13 VLTFs within Kolasib Town and another 6 VLTFs in its vicinity.

The Mizoram Government extended the Lockdown till May 17 as a measure to contain the 2nd Wave of Covid-19 virus. Kolasib district, which has 4 entry points from its neighbouring state where Covid-19 screening points are setup and closely monitored, the Covid-19 positive cases have crossed the double digit mark, standing at 102 as of yesterday’s 5:00 PM report.
