Jagdalpur (Chhattisgarh): Seven villagers – including six women – died and a 12-year-old girl was grievously injured on Friday in a soil-mine collapse at Bastar district’s Malgaon approximately 10 km from this divisional headquarters, law-enforcement authorities said.

A SDRF team used an excavator. Six of the victims died on the spot and a couple was rushed to the District Hospital where one succumbed. The deceased were identified as Dashmati, Kamli, Rameshar, Shanti, Kumari, Manmati and Sheto.
