Churachandpur: Deputy Commissioner Churachandpur Pawan Yadav chaired a meeting over the rationalization of polling stations in Churachandpur and Pherzawl district Wednesday at Conference Hall, Mini-secretariat, Churachandpur.
TA & Hills, GAD and Transport Minister and in-charge of Churachandpur and Pherzawl district, Vungzagin Valte, MLA Hangkhanlian Valte, DC Pherzawl Mannuamching, ADCs/EROs, SDOs/ AEROs, representatives of political parties and officials from Election Department attended the meeting.
The political parties’ representatives were informed in detail about the number of polling stations which are to be rationalized and name corrections of various polling stations were decided in the meeting. The meeting also decided to create additional polling booths in those areas where the number of voters exceeds the upper limit of 1,400 and 1,200 voters.
