Chandel: As a part of the celebration of 75 years of India’s Independence,(Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav) a mass rally was organised by the district administration Tengnoupal. The rally was flagged off jointly by the Tengnoupal DC, Mayanglambam Rajkumar and SP Th Bikramjit at Pallel New Bridge. The rally culminated at Kotlenphai village Tengnoupal district.
Speaking on the occasion DC Rajkumar said that the 75 years of India’s Independence is being celebrated all over India, starting March 12 and will continue till August 15.
Friday’s mass rally was participated by DLOs and students of Nemkhochin Memorial Junior High School, Shalom English Academy, Cherith Foundation Cornerstone Academy. Police personnel, government officials, CSOs members and the general public of the district also participated in the rally.
In another event the of 75 years of India’s Independence was also celebrated at United college, Chandel, as part of the celebration prizes were distributed for the essay competition held on 12th of March in connection with the celebration.
