Churachandpur: An awareness programme on village health and nutrition; Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and vaccination was held Friday in Churachandpur with a district-level function at DTC Hall, Tuibong as a pre-event for the celebration of four years of BJP led government.
Medical Department, ADCC, ZEO and ICDS were actively involved in the programme. Highlights of the programme included speeches on village health and nutrition; Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and vaccination awareness; distribution of sanitary napkins; demonstration of anganwadi activities. Stalls were also opened both by the Medical and ICDS departments wherein BP/Blood Sugar test; Oral screening; CMHT&PMJAY enrolment were done.
As a part of the programme, the Medical Department also organized PMBJP Awareness Campaign for public (Miking) at Behiang and adjacent villages under Singngat Sub-Division. Besides, the Department has also taken out VHND and Nutritional Campaign at PHSCs including Lamka, Mata, Pearsonmun, Thingkangphai and other AWCs.
ADCC took out a poster campaign in the town area on Covid-19 appropriate behaviour and vaccination awareness while similar campaign was also held at Government schools in the district under the supervision of ZEO.
