Mumbai: Marathi Language Department has been organized ‘Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din’ at Yashwantrao Prathistan on February 27 in Mumbai.
According to official press statement on Sunday stated that, Maharashtra State Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis, Cultural Affairs Minister Sudhir Mungantiwar, Marathi Language Minister Deepak Kesarkar and other dignitaries will attend the function.
February 27 is the birthday of Jnanpith award winner Kavivarya V.V.
Shirwadkar alias Kusumagraj is celebrated as “Marathi Bhasha Gaurav Din”.
Marathi language honor day program by Marathi language department “Yashwantrao Chavan Pratishthan” in Mumbai.
On this occasion, a musical program “Aisi Akshere Rasike” will be held to reveal the journey of Marathi language.
In this program, various literary awards will be presented by the Marathi language department to dignitaries who are working for the honor of Marathi language and for the development of language and literature.
Also, three winners of the Marathi Vachan Prerna Din Marathi competition organized for various Municipal Corporations this year will be felicitated. 35 books will be published by the Maharashtra State Board of Literature and Culture on this occasion.
