Manipur’s positivity rate climbs to 4.1% Monday

Imphal: Manipur’s positivity rate increased to 4.1 as 72 new positive cases (57 general population 15 CAPF) were recorded in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Monday. During the same period, 12 persons recovered while no person succumbed to Covid-19, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 57 persons from the general population who tested positive, 36 are from Imphal West, 10 from Imphal East, three from Thoubal, two each from Senapati, Kangpokpi and Tamenglong and one Churachandpur.  Altogether, 1,741 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 4.1 %.

Meanwhile, 12 persons recovered and were discharged, six of them from CCCs, five from home isolation and one from RIMS.

Due to various reasons, 91 persons were reported as discharged cases only on January 10. Therefore, the total number of recovered persons is considered as 103 after reconciliation with the reports of the IDSP team, home isolation team, community home isolation team and hospitalization team, The recovery rate in Manipur now stands at 98.06 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 26,228 out of which 1,23,779 have recovered, leaving 438 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on January 9, 2022, is 928, the cumulative number of doses administered is 23,49,134 (1st dose 13,41,185, 2nd dose 10,07,949).
