Manipur’s Covid positivity rate down to 4.9% Sunday

The three deceased persons were from Imphal West, Imphal East and Kangpokpi. All three of them had co-morbidities and none of them had been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2083.

Imphal: In the last 24-hour leading up to 2 pm of Sunday, three persons succumbed to Covid-19, 90 persons (89 general population, one CAPF) tested positive and 139 persons recovered and were discharged in Manipur, as per an official release from the Health Department.

The three deceased persons were from Imphal West, Imphal East and Kangpokpi. All three of them had co-morbidities and none of them had been vaccinated. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 2083.

Of the 89 persons from the general population who tested positive, 26 are from Imphal West, 20 Imphal East, 12 from Churachandpur, 11 from Bishnupur, eight  from Thoubal, five from Kakching, two each from Kangpokpi, Tamenglong and Senapati and one from Ukhrul. Altogether 1,837 persons were tested which amounted to a positivity rate of 4.9 %

Meanwhile, 139 persons recovered and were discharged, 106 from home isolation, 24 from CCCs, five from JNIMS and four from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state stands at 96.80 %. 

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 35, 838 out of which 1, 31, 486 have recovered, leaving 2,269 active cases.

The total number of doses administered on February 12, 2022, is 6,230, the cumulative number of doses administered is 26,28,543 (1st dose 14,84,059, 2nd dose 10,95,103) and precautionary dose 49,381.
