Manipur’s active Covid cases down to 244 Monday

Altogether, 339 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 8.6 %.

Imphal: In the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Monday, Manipur reported 29 positive cases and 40 recoveries while there was no report of any Covid-related death, as per an official release from the Health Department.

Of the 40 persons who tested positive, eight are from Imphal West, seven from Imphal East, three each from Pherzawl and Kakching, two each from Chandel and Senapati and one each from Bishnupur, Churachandpur Tengnoupal and Thoubal. Altogether, 339 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 8.6 %.

Meanwhile, 40 persons recovered, 35 from home isolation, four from SHRI and one from RIMS. The recovery rate of the state as of Saturday stands at 98.29 %.

The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 39, 377out of which 1, 36,995 have recovered leaving 244 active cases in the state.

As on August 7, 2022, 362 D-type oxygen cylinders and 78 B-type oxygen cylinders have been made available at different health facilities in Manipur.

The status of Covid Hospital facilities in the state as on August 8, 2022 are as follows: JNIMS has a total of 38 beds out of which nine are occupied and 29 are vacant. RIMS has a total of 62 beds out of which 21 are occupied and 41 are vacant.

 The total number of doses administered on August 7, is 83, the cumulative number of doses administered is 31,32,811 (1st dose 16,22,068, 2nd dose 12,92,364) and precautionary dose is 2,18,379.
