Imphal: Manipur’s active cases came down further to 328 in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Saturday, as the state reported 18 new positive cases while 32 persons recovered and were discharged.
During the same period, two persons succumbed to the deadly virus, as per an official release from the Health Department
Both the two persons who expired are from Imphal East and both of them had co-morbidities while one of them had taken the 1st dose of the Covid vaccine. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1989.
Of the 18 persons who tested positive from the general population, 11 of them are from Imphal West, three each from Kakching and Imphal East and one from Thoubal.
Altogether, 1,481 persons were tested for a positivity rate of 1.2 %.
Meanwhile, 32 persons recovered and were discharged, 15 of them from home isolation, four from CCCs and 10 from JNIMS and three from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 98.15 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases in the state now stands at 1, 25,496 out of which 1,23,179 have recovered, leaving 328 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on December 10, 2021, is 6,948, the cumulative number of doses administered is 22,28,237 (1st dose 12,99,799, 2nd dose 9,28,438).
