Manipur: Thoubal, Kangpokpi & CCpur hold various events to mark Har Ghar Tiranga campaign

Thoubal/Kangpokpi/Churachanpur: Various events marked the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Thoubal and Kangpokpi districts as in other districts of Manipur on Wednesday.

Zonal Education Officer Zone III Thoubal under the aegis of District Administration, Thoubal organized a painting and slogan competition at Khongjom War Memorial Complex, Khongjom in connection with Har Ghar Tiranga campaign and as a part of Azadi ka Amrit  Mahotsav.

Speaking at the function Deputy Commissioner Thoubal, A.Subhash Singh, IAS, said Har Ghar Tiranga campaign is being organised all over India to commemorate 75th years of India’s Independence. He said such a campaign will instill the idea of patriotism and nationalism to the students who are the pillars of our future generation. He also appealed to the students to hoist the tri color flag at their home and share with their teachers and friends.  

As part of the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign, under the Lilong ICDS project flags were hoisted at various Anganwadi centers. Various departments in the District including the Health Department also hoisted tricolor flag as part of the campaign. Posters were also pasted on the passenger vehicles plying in and around the District as part of the campaign. 

NYK Thoubal and Lilong Ipham Leikai Development Club (LILDC) organised a “Tree Plantation Program”  at Lilong Mayai Leikai as a part of the Swachhta Pakwada (Cleanliness Fortnight) and Har Ghar Tiranga campaign. The participants also carried out a Swachhata pledge to keep the environment clean, and to dedicate 100 hours for cleanliness. 

Social service was also held Wednesday at various Government offices in connection with the upcoming Independence Day celebration. Officials and staff of District Fishery Office, Veterinary & Animal Husbandry, MSPDCL Thoubal Division, NYK, Office of the District Programme Officer, Integrated Child Protection Unit,District Employment Exchange, Customs & Excise Office, Office of District Information Officer, DIPR, and Public Works Department, Thoubal among others took part in the social service.

The District Administration Kangpokpi Wednesday organised a social service drive to clean up the premises of the Deputy Commissioner’s Office Complex early in the morning which was participated wholeheartedly by officers and staffs located at the DC Office Complex.

As part of the campaign, the District Administration Kangpokpi displayed hoardings at five different locations within the district namely Gamgiphai, Yaikongpao, Motbung, Leikop and Kangpokpi Headquarters. The hoarding mentions everyone to participate in the Independence Week celebration from August 11-17, 2022 by hoisting the Indian National Flag as part of Har Ghar Tiranga Campaign.

Posters provided by the Directorate of Information and Public Relations, Government of Manipur have been displayed at the DC Office Complex and offices of other departments. The posters have also been displayed at other strategic locations.

Meanwhile, the Office of the Zonal Education Officer today organised a painting and slogan writing competitions at various schools namely Karakhul High School, Keithelmanbi Junior High School, Kalapahar High School, Tumnoupokpi High School, Kangpokpi High School and Kholjang Junior High School. Prizes will be distributed on August 15, 2022.

 The Har Ghar Tiranga campaign in Churachandpur is going on in full swing as several activities have been taken up under the supervision of Deputy Commissioner Sharath Chandra Arroju, IAS including a huge Walkathon here today morning.

Holding and waving the Tricolour, DLOs and their staff, Churachandpur based philanthropic organizations participated in the Walkathon today morning from Mini-Secretariat, Tuibong till Public Ground, Hiangtam Lamka as a part of Har Ghar Tiranga campaign to commemorate Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav and to spread awareness about Har Ghar Tiranga.

Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Commissioner Shri Sharath Chandra Arroju said that other events like cycle rally as well as bike rally will be organized in the days to come. All of these events will culminate into the Independence Day celebration. Urging the people of the district to extend full cooperation to the HGT campaign, the DC appealed all to hoist the National flag in their respective houses.

The event was also to encourage government, private offices and locals in the district to hoist the National Flag to promote the spirit of nationalism and patriotism, he added.

Meanwhile, various DLOs and SDOs of Churachandpur have taken up the HGT campaign in their own capacity. Flags have also been distributed to the public through concerned SDOs.

The DLOs have taken up various initiatives such as the painting of walls in their respective office premises on the theme of the Indian independence movement and freedom struggle; pasting of HGT logo and stickers on OPD tickets and ambulances by the Medical department; painting and slogan writing competitions, prabhat pheris, quiz and singing competitions by ZEO; painting of walls in town by CEO, ADCC; illumination of Mini-Secretariat with Tricolour by MSPDCL, amongst others.
