Imphal: Manipur recorded a single Covid related death, 81 new positive cases and 94 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 2 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the health department.
The lone person who expired was from Imphal East. He had co-morbidities and was not vaccinated for Covid. The cumulative death toll now stands at 1905.
42 of the persons who test positive out of thee 81 from the general population are from Imphal West, 14 from Imphal East, 11 from Ukhrul, four from Kakching, three from Thoubal, two from Bihsnupur and one each from Churachandpur, Kamjong, Chandel, Senapati and Tengnoupal. Altogether, 1,762 persons were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 4.6 %.
Meanwhile, of the 94 persons who recovered and were discharged, 35 are from home isolation, 52 from CCCs and two from RIMS and five from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 97.36 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1, 23,051 out of which 1,19,800 have recovered leaving 1,346 active cases.
The total number of doses administered on October 20, 2021, is 5,764 and the cumulative number of doses administered is 18, 54,716 (1st dose 12,38,675, 2nd dose 6,16,041).
