Imphal: Manipur reported 10 deaths, 560 positive cases (555 the general population, 5 CAPF) and 358 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5:00 pm of Thursday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 10 persons who succumbed Thursday include, a 56-year-old male from Imphal East, a 65-year-old male from Imphal West, a 52-year-old male from Imphal West, a 58-year-old female from Imphal East, a 62-year-old male from Ukhrul, a 62-year-old female from Imphal West, a 41-year-old male from Imphal East, a 68-year-old male from Imphal East, a 57-year-old male from Imphal East and 64-year-old male from Senapati, who expired at Raj Medicity (2), Shija Hospital (2). DH Ukhrul (1), RIMS (4) and JNIMS (I) hospital respectively. The cumulative number of deaths is 536.
Of the 555 persons (287 males 268 females) from general population, 262 are from Imphal West 120 from Imphal East, 45 from Bishnupur, 21 from Thoubal, 17 from Kakching, 12 from Kangpokpi, 9 each from Ukhrul and Chandel, 5 from Tamenglong, 4 from Tengnoupal, 3 from Kamjong, 13 from Senapati, 7 from Noney, 6 from Kangpokpi, 4 from Tamenglong, 3 from Chandel and 1 from Jiribam. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
The positive cases from the general population are from Imphal East (120). Imphal West (262). Thoubal (21). Bishnupur (45). Kakching (17), Ukluul (9), Churaehandpur (45). Chandel (9), Senapati (2). Tamenglong (5). Kangpokpi (12). Kamjong (3). Tengnoupal (4) and Jiribam (1). All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place.
Meanwhile, 253 recovered which include 199 from home isolation, 11 from CCC Churachandpur, 9 from RIMS, 8 from CCC Ukhrul, 6 each from CAPE and RD Wing, 5 from CCC Bishnupur and CCC NSU, 3 from CCC Kakching and 1 from CCC Jiribam The recovery rate in the state further dips to 83.76%.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 37.596 (General Population – 33.916 and Central Security Personnel – 3.680). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 31.491 (General Population – 27.988 and Central Security Personnel – 3.503). The number of active cases it 5569 (General Population – 5397 and Central Security Personnel – 172).
In the last 24 hours, a total of 1213 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 447 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
As per latest information, the total number of persons vaccinated is 291152.
Air passengers who travelled to the State on (I) May 12, 2021 by Air India AI-713 in rows 17-23 (ii) on May 10, 2021, by Air India AI-713 in rows 10-16, (iii) May3, 2021 by 6E-6034 In rows 24-30 and 6E-2615 In rows 26-31 are to inform the Common Covid Control Room 1800-345-3818 or respective District SurveMance Officers (1)501 for further surveillance and necessary testing.
The official release further advised all persons above the age of 45 years to get vaccinated immediately.
