Imphal: Manipur reported 624 new cases of Covid 19 and 20 deaths during the last 24 hours.
According to daily bulletin issued by Directorate of Health Services (DHS), with the new cases, number of total confirmed cases in the state increased to 40, 683 while number of total deaths shot up to 612.
There were 337 recoveries during the last 24 hours which took the number of total recoveries in the state to 33,466 (General Population – 29.929 and Central Security Personnel – 3.537).
The recovery rate in the state stood at 82.26 per cent.
On Tuesday, 624 persons (352M. 27219 from general population were confirmed as new COVID-I9 positive cases.
Twenty persons aged 84 years (male, Imphal West), 42 years (male, Imphal East), 76 years (male, Imphal East), 75 years (female, Imphal West), 59 years (male, Imphal East), 88 years (female, Imphal West), 28 years (female, Churachandpur), 47 years (male, Churachandpur), 52 years (male, Thoubal), 73 years (female, Ukhrul), 44 years (male, Kakching), 60 years (female, Imphal East), 60 years (male, Imphal West), 38 years (male, Imphal East), 54 years (female, Imphal East), 42 years (male, Imphal East), 63 years (female, Imphal East), 52 years (male, Imphal West), 63 years (female, Senapati) and 82 years (male, Imphal East) expired at Shija Hospital (6), DH Churachandpur (2), DH Thoubal (I), 13 DH Ukhrul (I), RIMS (6) and 1NLAIS (4) hospital respectively.
The number of active cases in the state increased to 6605 (General Population 6442 and Central Security Pommel -163).
During the same period, a total of 1364 D type Oxygen Cylinders and 521 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur.
