Imphal: Manipur recorded 2 Covid related deaths, 272 new positive cases (265 general population, 7 CAPF) and 293 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Friday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
The 2 persons who succumbed to the deadly virus are from Imphal East and 1Thoubal. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,792. One of the deceased had been vaccinated with the 2nd dose.
The 265 persons (125 males, 140 females) from the general population who tested positive include 104 from Imphal West,46 from Imphal East, 32 from Churachandpur, 26 each from Bishnupur and Ulhrul, 9 from Thoubal, 8 from Senapati, 6 frm Chandel, 5 from Kangpokpi, 4 each from Kakching and Tamenglong, and 1 each from Jiribam and Pherzawl.
Altogether, 3,107 samples were tested amounting to a positivity rate of 8.8 %.
Meanwhile, 293 persons were discharged which include 144 from home isolation, 94 from CCCs, 37 from CHICs, 3 from JNIMS and 15 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state now stands at 95.59 %.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 1,14,774 (General Population – 1, 10,646, Central Security Personnel – 4,128). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1, 09,715 (General Population – 1, 05,621, Central Security Personnel – 4,094). The number of active cases is 3,267 (General Population – 3,238, Personnel – 29).
The total number of doses administered on September 2, 2021, is 5,481 and the cumulative number doses administered is 15,46,343 (1st dose 11,90,074, 2nd dose 3,55,369)
The total number of vacant hospital beds available in the state as on September 3, is 515 which include 423 general beds and 92 ICU/HDU beds.
The total number of beds available in Covid Care Centers in the state on September 3 is 3467 out of which 705 are occupied and 2762 are vacant.
