Imphal: After a day of less than a thousand positive cases, Manipur registered 1,165 new positive cases (1,161 general populations, 4 CAPF) in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Tuesday. The state also reported 11 deaths and 876 recoveries during the same period, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.
Of the 1,161 persons(586 males, 575 females) who tested positive among the general population, 337 of them are from Imphal West, 299 from Imphal East, 105 from Bishnupur, 66 from Chandel, 63 from Kakching, 58 from Thoubal, 33 from Tamenglong, 23 from Kangpokpi, 16 from Ukhrul, 13 from Jiribam, 12 from Kangpokpi and 2 from Tengnoupal..
Altogether 6,329 persons were tested which amounts to a positivity rate of 18.4% a marginal improvement from 20.2% recorded the previous day.
Of the 11 persons who succumbed to Covid related death, two each of them belong to Churachandpur, Imphal East, Imphal West and Thoubal while one each belonged to Kakching, Kangpokpi and Ukhrul. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,495.
 Meanwhile, of the 876 persons who were discharged, 359 are from CHICs, 242 from home isolation, 192 from CCCs, 21 from RIMS and 12 from JNIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 87.02% on Tuesday.
The cumulative number of positive cases is 94,821(General Population – 90,849, Central Security Personnel – 3,972). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 82,521(General Population – 78,604, Central Security Personnel – 3,917). The number of active cases is 10,802(General Population – 10,752, Personnel – 50).
28,287persons were vaccinated on June July 25, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 12,34,030(1st dose 10,55,749, 2nd dose 1,78,281).
