Manipur reports 10 deaths, 832 positive cases, 957 recoveries Sunday

The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,566.

Imphal: Manipur reported 10 Covid related deaths, 832(830 common population, 2 CAPF) new positive cases and 957 recoveries in the last 24 hours leading up to 5 pm of Sunday, as per an official release from the Covid-19 Common Control Room.

The 10 persons who succumbed to the deadly pandemic include three from Thoubal, two from Imphal West and one each from Imphal East, Bishnupur, Chandel, Noney and Kakching. The cumulative death toll in the state now stands at 1,566.

Of the 10 persons who succumbed to Covid 19, only two of them have been vaccinated with the 1st dose.

The 830 persons(400 males, 430 females) who tested positive among the general population include 256 from Imphal West, 197 from Imphal East, 120 from Bishnupur, 69 from Churachandpur, 63 from Thoubal, 49 from Kakching, 22 from Tamenglong, 20 from Kangpokpi, 11 each from Chandel and Senapati, five from Ukhrul, three from Tengnoupal and one from Jiribam.

Altogether 5,600 persons were tested on Saturday giving a positivity rate of 14.9%.

Meanwhile, of the 957 persons who were discharged, 503 are from home isolation, 268 from CHICs, 163 from CCCs, 13 from JNIMS and 10 from RIMS. The recovery rate in the state stands at 87.94% on Thursday.

The cumulative number of positive cases is 99,331(General Population – 95,343, Central Security Personnel – 3,988). The cumulative number of recovered cases is 87,360(General Population – 83,424, Central Security Personnel – 3,936). The number of active cases is 10,405(General Population – 10,358, Personnel – 47).

Altogether, 13,974 persons were vaccinated on July 31, 2021. The cumulative number of vaccination is 13,20,287(1st dose 11,07,583, 2nd dose 2,12,704).
